What Effect Do Mediums Have On The Bereaved?
Qualified mediums, those that can present specific evidence communicated from an identified deceased entity, can offer hope to the hopeless. Very often a connection made by the medium between the sitter and a deceased loved one can be of greater value than any medication or therapy. In most cases of good mediumship, not only does evidence come through that is only known to the sitter, but the personality of the deceased is evident as well.
Can Some Mediums Do More Harm Than Good?
Of late we have seen a proliferation of new mediums popping up across the country. Contributing to this explosion are the high profile media portrayals of mediums and numerous paranormal shows on TV. There are great numbers of people who have psychic ability - after all, it is part of who we are. However, having psychic ability does not make one a medium. A visit with an under-developed or incompetent medium can be devastating to someone in grief, as sitters often walk away with confirmation that an afterlife does not exist.
