CONVULSIONS is a contemporary dance and rock music project based on views about the cities. / /
This work in progress fuses the work of five musicians, for the most part multi-instrumentalists, with five performers (dancers, acrobats,), who take their inspirations from the atmospheres of city life to deconstruct and recreate urban microcosms and their codes. Taking turns, they exploit the interactions and situations we live in everyday life.

The aim of this piece is to evolve with each adaptation to the new spaces it will be performed in.
Convulsions was first performed in a converted rail station, the Recyclart in Brussels./ /
CONVULSIONS integrates the musical performance at the centre of its choreography, literally and figuratively.
Initiated and created by Joël Grignard (bassist and composer of the Brussels-based rock band Monsoon) in collaboration with choreographers and dancers Celine Perroud (Ultima Vez, DV8) and David Hernandez (Damaged Goods, Cie Edward), this project proposes itself as a mirror of our daily life.
In the course of six scenes, six atmospheres, Convulsions exploits these phenomena by using the audience as part of the show, implicating it and throwing it off guard according to its needs. / /
