About me: I'm Michael Leahy the host of Cool As Folk Presents and of the long running (now on hiatus) KDVS in Davis, CA radio show "Cool As Folk", which was heard every Friday in the Davis/Sacramento area and on the web at www.kdvs.org. Cool As Folk featured weekly live in studio guests and new/old folk, bluegrass, americana, old country, hot stringbands and indie-singer-songwriters all on your radio. I'll be putting up links so you all can download all the Cool As Folk live compilations that we gave away around fundraiser time. They are quite special and a true walk down memory lane for fans of the radio show.
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
Who I'd like to meet: The good people who support freeform, non-commercial radio and independent live music venues.
We are playing a rare show at the G Street Pub this Friday, November 20th. And we'll be joined by two great bands - The Nickel Slots (from Sacramento) and Coastwest Unrest (From Las Vegas). Check it out if you're free! Hugs, SatB
The new True Margrit CD - The Juggler's Progress - is now available for pre-order, along with t-shirts and artwork, photo and drumheads, as we get ready for our monthlong tour of the Great Northwest! Check it out here: http://bit.ly/7Cu8J
Look for us in Washington, Oregon and California between October 15 and November 15, when our tour wraps up with the big show at San Francisco's best rock club, Bottom of the Hill! For the complete show schedule, check here: http://bit.ly/1UgGqQ
Hey Michael, I've got a radio show for a few weeks - so, please tune into the Paul Hughes Show (filling in for Gordon Hotchkiss) on Celtic Music Radio this Wednesday between 7pm – 9pm. As well a Scottish, Irish and American folk/roots music I’ll be chatting with Paddy Callaghan about being selected for the finals of the BBC Young Trad Musician of the Year and hear him playing the harp and box. Celtic Music Radio is available in and around Glasgow on 1530 AM (MW) and you can listen anywhere else in the world on the internet at www.celticmusicradio.net and click on “Listen Live” in the top right of the screen. Thanks for reading down this far.
i had a dream last week that you & me were at your parents house with garret pierce. i was going through your parents liquor cabinet, drank some whiskey out of fancy shot glasses , maybe you did too. we were not supposed to be there & we had to leave before anyone came home.
