Featured at this year's Sundance & Tribeca Film Festivals, Cooper is quickly becoming the buzz of the industry.
However, one should not assume they are just another cookie-cutter band on the fast track to fame. They are serious craftsmen and fans of good songwriting: Having already won two major songwriting contests (sponsored by BMI and Billboard Magazine), they were also finalists at the John Lennon and USA Songwriting Contests with four different songs. The band has gone on to write more compelling material and landed a featured spot on Continental Airlines "Hit Factory" radio show, with their song "Beautiful" played on every flight worldwide, in between Foo Fighters and U2 - the only unsigned act of the show. And managed to score the same slot this past November to December of 2007 among such artists as Amy Winehouse, Matchbox 20, Smashing Pumpkins and Rilo Kiley--the ONLY unsigned artist in the history of the show to be chosen twice!
Cooper captivates their crowd with emotional, hard-hitting modern rock/pop that ranges from the chart-ready smash "Beautiful" to the lazy, epic rocker "Goodnight", to "Revolving Doors" which has been heard several times on MTV's The Hills. They have been consistently touring regionally with bands like Jonas Brothers (Hollywood), Ludo (Island Records), Quietdrive (Epic Records), and Edwin McCain in addition to acoustic shows with Teddy Geiger (Columbia Records) and other regional and national acts.
In May 2008, they were selected as one of very few artists to perform at the Tommy Hilfiger Sessions Music Series at NYC's Webster Hall.
Critics, industry professionals and labels have already come knocking and with showcases filling up in the months ahead, one thing is clear - COOPER is bound to be heard on a radio near you!
