Cope Records is a Danish record label founded in 1999. Since then more than 100 albums, primarily with Danish artists, have been released in more or less every genre. Artists include Maya Albana, Rent Mel, Nanna, Lasse & Mathilde, Mads Vinding, the Danish Radio Big Band, WonderBrazz, SP-Just-Frost and many, many more.
How does Cope Records distribute?
Cope Records distributes the releases through Denmark's biggest CD wholesaler GDC, which makes sure that our releases are available in every single shop in Denmark. We also have online distribution through CD-skiven.dk in Denmark and CDON.com in the EU. All of our releases are available as MP3s through all the biggest MP3 shops.
Genre profile?
Cope Records started out releasing music in all genres. However, Cope is now focusing on pop, rock and hiphop whereas the sublabel Calibrated handles the jazz genre. We have a high quality demand not only with regard to the standard of the music but also with regard to the musicians we choose to sign, since we always work very closely with the artist.

Austin O’BRIEN et Philippe DUCHEMIN « Présentation presse de l’album Dualité »
Le choix de lieu pour la présentation de l’album « Dualité » était facile après le fort succès qu’Austin O’Brien et Philippe Duchemin ont reçu à leur passage en mars dernier au Caveau de la Huchette.
Pour cette occasion, Austin et Philippe partageront la scène avec une section rythmique de rêve : Pierre Boussaguet contrebasse et André Ceccarelli batterie.
Le soir à 21h30 : Concert exceptionnel avec ce quartet de choc. Une soirée à ne pas manquer.
Austin interprètera quelques standards et plusieurs de ces compositions. Le style et l’ambiance de son show colle à merveille avec le contenu de l’album. Il déborde, en effet, de la dualité humaine dans toute sa richesse et sa diversité. Il interpelle tout autant le cœur, l’esprit et, la voix parfois suave et langoureuse est aussi, selon les titres, forte, profonde, aux confins de l’animalité et du divin. Dualité parle tout simplement à l’âme. Et c’est bien là toute sa réussite et sa pertinence. Par cet enregistrement, Austin O’Brien montre qu’il a acquis une maturité très prometteuse.
