About Cannonball One Lap of America 2008
Known as one of the most challenging racing events of all-time, the Cannonball One Lap of America has been a legend among racing enthusiasts since the early 1970's when it was called Cannonball Run. Many people remember the movie, Cannonball Run starring Burt Reynolds and written by Brock Yates, but it is surprising that some people think the real thing is just an urban legend. The Cannonball is real! Brock Yates and Brock Yates Jr still work very hard each year to present what has been said by many to be "the racing equivalent of climbing Mt. Everest". The 25th Cannonball One Lap of America was May 2nd through May 10th and was be Webcast live at CopMagnet.com.

CopMagnet II Z06 Gobbling Up Porsche at Heartland Park Topeka
CopMagnet II shatters childhood dreams of owning a Porsche. We still have not received our tires from Tire Rack, so we had to use some old junk tires off CopMagnet One on the rear (which were way too small for the Z06) and we used the stock run-flat tires on the front. Once we heated up the bald (below wear indicators) tires, we made these Porsche look like they were standing still!
