Since its inception nearly 7 years ago in Oshkosh, WI, Copper Box continues to broaden the musical horizons of specific music genres. Their latest CD, In the Summertime, was released on July 8th, 2009, and channels the rowdy communal feel of a small town party with a groovy rhythm section and soulful accordion.
Danny & Michelle Jerabek both grew up in musical families while touring and performing at polka venues nationwide. They were married in 1997, formed their own band and soon realized they wanted to establish their unique sound as not entirely polkas, giving them more freedom to experiment with other genres (ex. Zydeco, rock, and jazz), creating “Copper Box.” By doing this, Copper Box has a credible, fun-fusion sound that attracts a unique and diverse audience.
They have appeared on several TV shows, as well as The Early Show on CBS and countless radio stations (college & community) in the US. Their "redone" cover of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" was the most notable/talked about cover on the internationally syndicated podcast at www.coverville.com. Garageband.com has also selected many of their songs in the top 10. Not only their sound, but their energetic LIVE performances have won them a Hi-Def Music Video sponsored by SONY in 2005.
Touring aggressively and playing 120+ shows a year, Copper Box routinely pushes the boundaries of the world music genre and into mainstream music consciousness. The combination of their energetic live stage show and their unique sound has audiences driving to show after show to support them. They love what they do and it shows!
It was my pleasure to add "Maybe Next Time" to my Internet radio playlist (playing independent music commercial-free 24x7) and introduced it on my weekly podcast found at http://indiemusicsampler.com/2009/10/23/ims-155/

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
Christian
