General	I like to read. I want to study English at uni next year. I love shopping and eating out with friends. And I think we should have dinner parties and tea parties when we're all housewives living in grand country houses.
Music	I listen to everything. I like Regina Spektor and the Corrs the most. If I could only listen to two albums for the rest of my life I's listen to Begin To Hope and Borrowed Heaven.
Movies	I love films. Too many to list really... My favourites are I Capture The Castle, The Duchess and Cider House Rules. And of couse... HARRY POTTER!

About me:
My name is Cora Linn. Which means Maiden of the Waterfall. Incidently, I'm named after a waterfall. It's the largest waterfall on the River Clyde in Scotland.

I'm nineteen years old, but act about ten.
I'm a mega Harry Potter fan and have been for over ten years. Those books just rock. Beat that you film-freaks!
I just love to bitch about people. It's actually good for you.
I m on Miss Bimbo and Facebook and Twitter FAR too much.
I love cardigans and high heels.
If I have a son I'm going to call him Leofric, which is anglo-saxon and means Beloved One. Awww.
If I have a girl I'm going to call her Hawise. Which is of about the same time but I have no idea of what it means.
My poor future children! I have a lot of spare old Anglo-Saxon names and such stored up just in case too.
It's because I'm not much of a fan of regular names. And they'd have brought it on themselves for causing me pain during childbirth.

I love to sip on Olde English... Unless I can get my hands on a Cosmo!

Kevin Brooks	Dec 20 2009 10:27 AM i think it's probably a bit of both - the book was written almost ten years ago, so fashion-wise it's not particularly up to date, but Hale Island does also represent a very isolated, narrow-minded community too, and (possibly subconsciously) this could be reflected in the islanders dress sense. or maybe 'the wardrobe" in Lucas is all just a reflection of me (which you'd understand if you knew the kind of styleless clothes I wear!) kevin
