"The Stones of Naples" (Prikosnovenie/Audioglobe label, 2009) is the fifth album by the guitarist and composer Riccardo Prencipe. The title is inspired by a book by Caroline Bruzelius about the medieval monuments in Naples. Graduated from the Conservatoire of Naples San Pietro a Majella, since 1999 Riccardo started his research, melting music with History of Art. This "visual music" often describes places and monuments, some of which are famous, like the Barrio Gotico in Barcelona or the ancient city of Naples. Others are almost unknown, like the Piscina Mirabilis (one of the most beautiful and ancient monuments in the Campi Flegrei) and the medieval castle of Avella. Riccardo includes an acoustic version of the song "Flying" by the band Anathema. The album is in Superjewellbox format, with a 24 page booklet, including English translations of all the lyrics, supplemented with many beautiful photos by Neapolitan photographers. The album has been mastered to the Sterling Sound Studio, the well known Mastering Studio in New York. Riccardo Prencipe's music was also used as soundrack from the italian national TV RAI: RAI 2, music for the 72ma Fiera del Levante. RAI 3 (TG-R), music for the presentation of the Farnese Collection (Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli). Recently Corde Oblique were guests to the TV program Tempi Dispari (RAI News 24).

"The stones of Naples" (Prikosnovenie - Audioglobe 2009) è il quinto album del M.tro Riccardo Prencipe, il titolo è tratto dall'omonimo libro di Caroline Bruzelius, storica dell'arte dedita allo studio dell'architettura medievale a Napoli. Diplomato in chitarra presso il Conservatorio di Napoli San Pietro a Majella, dal 1999 Riccardo inizia la sua ricerca, che consiste nell'unire la Musica alla Storia dell'Arte; una "musica visiva" che spesso racconta e descrive luoghi, alcuni celebri, come il Barrio Gotico di Barcellona, o la Napoli antica; altri meno noti, come la Piscina Mirabilis (tra i monumenti più suggestivi e misconosciuti dei Campi Flegrei) e il castello medievale di Avella. Riccardo propone anche un arrangiamento in versione acustica del brano "Flying", degli inglesi Anathema. L'album è in formato Superjewellbox, con booklet di 24 pagine che include traduzioni in inglese e italiano di tutti testi. L'album è stato masterizzato nei prestigiosi Sterling Sound Studios di New York. La musica di Riccardo è stata scelta come colonna sonora per la sigla di testa della produzione di Rai 2 sulla 72.ma Fiera del Levante e per il reportage del TG3R (Rai 3) sull'inaugurazione della Collezione Farnese al Museo Archeologico di Napoli. Di recente ospiti alla trasmissione Tempi Dispari (RAI news 24).
