Fishing (I should clarify, I don't actually LIKE to catch the fish, unless they will be eaten. Mostly, I just wander and watch others fish....)

Gardening (I one day hope to become semi self sufficient)
Swimming, skipping, laughing, grapevine tendrils, climbing trees, thunderstorms,playing with clay, daydreams, acceptance, driving down the highway with my arm playing airplane, humming, bailing hay, singing to myself, sunlight, 3 am deserted street silence, endurance, photographs, painting, all things nature........
I suck at the following activities but nevertheless love them:
horseshoes, pool, darts, frisbee

...am THANKFUL for this chance at life, even the troubled spots
... laugh A LOT; mostly at myself and often over situations inappropriate for humor (though I have learned how to laugh on the inside so as not to offend)

...celebrate the talent in others and am fortunate to have a handful of delightfully talented friends
...abhor petty social conformity
...love physical labor (weird but true)
...like a child, get irritable when sleepy
...have a few friends for whom I'd give, do, or take anything, and a few enemies for whom I've done the same
...am forgiving and often ashamed of my actions - and my anger
...am infatuated by light and shadow
...am compassionate about bugs
...float freely where whim takes me
...am just another leaf on a tree - in a forest
...prefer swimming in the wilderness
...ache with a hollowness that knows firsthand loss, dispair, rejection, starvation, anger, hopelessness, addiction, and self hatred and I pray that those still in this Valley of the Shadow of Death will seek out the King of Kings whose Grace alone really IS sufficient
The little things get me especially frailty, moments that pass unnoticed, and the fact that life is fleeting and temporary. I find in these a beauty beyond words..........
I believe that no matter how many videos you record, pictures you take, or poems you write.... the best moments escape capture except in the mind and are eventually lost to time........ and I love that.
