Corja live @ Fratribus Perversis Festival 21/06/08 songs: "68" e " Machomóvel"
Surgido em fevereiro de 1998, Corja era formado por Daniel (bateria), Segundo (baixo), Rodolfo (guitarra) e Adelson (vocal). A banda começou tocando rap-core com letras engajadas. Em outubro de 98, Rodolfo saiu e Camboja entrou no seu lugar. Pouco tempo depois, Adelson também saiu e entrou a dupla Zé e Cão, inaugurando uma fase mais rap, com dois MC's.
Nesse mesmo ano a banda se apresentou no festival Rock Tech (no mini-ginásio da antiga ETFG, hoje CEFET), na Hocus Pocus e no Domingão da Brodage, no Cantoria. Em janeiro de 2002, Corja retomou suas atividades (após uma pausa de oito meses) com um novo vocalista (Alysson) e um som mais pesado baseado no crossover Thrash Metal/HC, sofrendo também influências que vão do grindcore ao jazz, passando por hard-rock anos 70 e funk. (Nada a ver com Nu metal....heheheeh)
No final de 2002 se apresentou nos festivais Miscelânea e Vaca Amarela e lançou a demo tape "As Incríveis Aventuras de Bush the Kid Contra o Império do Mal." Em 2003, a banda se apresentou para milhares de pessoas no palco B do Fórum Social Mundial em Porto Alegre, lançou o CD-R "Fogo na Patricinha" e participou da coletânea "Não Nasci Para Ser Herói", lançada pelo selo paulista Agah Records.
Corja se apresentou duas vezes no DF em 2004, tocando em Valparaíso e no festival Ferrock, na Ceilândia, após o qual Alysson retirou-se da banda, que passou a ser um trio com Camboja e Segundo revezando os vocais.
O Corja lançou seu primeiro CD completo, Al Qaeda's Greatest Hits,no dia 11 de setembro de 2006. A banda prepara para 2009 a gravação e o lançamento de seu segundo CD entititulado Justiça Au Go Go.

Corja has began in February 98 and it was formed by Daniel (drums) Segundo (bass), Rodolfo (guitar) and Adelson (vocals). The band began playing Rap-core with subversive lyrics (influenced by anarchism, exitentialism, punk and other anti-capitalism literature). In October 98 Rodolfo leaves replaced by Camboja and a few time later Adelson is also out giving place to the Mc duo Zé and Cão coming with more hip-hop influences and 70..s funk. In this same year (1999) the band had played in a lot of local underground gigs. In 2000 the demo "Não dê conversa, eles fazem a cabeça de vocês" was released.
Some internal problems made the band end in the beggining of 2001 but it was only for eight months and in January 2002 Corja was back with a new vocalist Alysson, the music had also changed. Instead of the rap..core thing Corja was now a multi-influences band with a lot of elements of extreme music (such as grindcore, death and thrash metal) but also with some bits of 70..s hard rock, jazz and funk .In late 2002 "As incriveis aventuras de Bush the kid" was released as a demo tape.
In early 2003 Corja played at the Secundary stage of the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brasil and also released "Fogo na Patricinha-Ep" and a track in the "Não nasci pra ser herói" compilation, by São Paulo..s label Agah Records. In late 2004 Alysson left and the band became a trio and released its debut album "Al Qaeda..s greatest hits" in september 11 2006. Now Corja is preparing to record its new album Justiça Au Go Go sometime in 2009.
