Biographie


French version
1993-1997 Naissance de CORKAGE, avec Guigui (Basse), Chris (Chant), Olive (Guitare), Fab' (Guitare) et Lolo (Batterie). Mélange de Thrash, punk et autres influences. Premiers changements de Line-up en 1994. Le groupe participe au tremplin rock de Revaison (69), et termine second de cette édition. Ainsi stabilisé, CORKAGE poursuit compositions et concerts :
Festival metal au Rail Théâtre, Festival Metal de Francheville, Honky Tonk Bar, Music's Pub, Le Rouge et Noir, Les Entrepots (Saint Etienne), Le Rollerball, le Black and White, MJC Ménival, Bacchus Café, etc... Sortie du CD 6 titres en 1997, auto-produit, « Sun », financé en partie par souscription. Suite aux divergences croissantes, départs de deux membres du groupe.

1997-2006 Les membres restant (Chris, Lolo et Fab') poursuivent avec différents musiciens sans pour autant que l'alchimie ne reprenne vraiment. réintègration de deux membres originaux avec le retour d'Olive et Guigui . Mais il est difficile de retrouver l'énergie et la spontanéité des débuts. L'engourdissement guette ! Désormais trop éloigné de ses goûts musicaux, Chris décide de quitter le groupe entraînant Guigui avec lui. Le noyau restant débute alors une phase végétative. Pas si loin que ça de lâcher prise, ils tombent finalement un jour sur l'annonce d'un bassiste.

2006 Rencontre avec Ben : le courant passe bien de suite, il intègre CORKAGE, amenant sa pêche, son enthousiasme ainsi que de nouvelles influences. L'envie est de retour, décibels et basses fréquences aussi !

2007 CORKAGE est de retour ! Le groupe prend sa forme actuelle durant l'été 2007. Après avoir rencontré Ben, CORKAGE rencontre Amine qui apportera la dernière pièce, manquante à la formation : les vocaux. Amine sachant exploiter de nombreuses facettes du chant, il apporte une valeur ajoutée indispensable au groupe.
Décembre 2008 Enregistrement d'une démo 4 titres "Death To The Deserving", dans son local, avec le concours essentiel de Vincent PETITJEAN (guitariste au sein du groupe de brutal death ETERNAL).

2009 Avec une motivation croissante depuis la stabilisation de la formation, le groupe entend profiter de sa démo pour trouver des dates et tourner à nouveau !
Et les retours sont positifs, comme en témoignent les chroniques de la démo, dont l'excellente (si, si :-)!) chronique du CHANT DU GRILLON, ainsi que celles réalisées par par VS-WEBZINE , METAL SICKNESS et FRENCH METAL.
Première date le 04/07 avec .F.O.A.D. (Merci les gars) et Alvinella Pompejana, couverte par Pavillon 666.
Le groupe enchaine le 18/09 avec 8 BALL INK et Down Under. CORKAGE apparaît sur la compilation "Revelation Underground N°9" de PAVILLON 666 avec le titre "Brain Beggar".
Participation au tremplin EMERGENZA le 09/10/2009 à La Marquise, et nouvelle date le 12/12 avec Auspex, Sceau de L'ange, ULTIMATE et Down Under.

CORKAGE est affamé comme cela ne lui était pas pas arrivé depuis longtemps, alors Bookez-nous !!! :-).

1993-1997 Birth of CORKAGE, with Guigui (Bass), Chris (Vocals), Olive (Guitar), Fab' (Guitar) and Lolo (Drums), mixing Thrash, punk and other influences. First Line-up changes. The band takes part in a Rock contest in Revaison (69), reaching the second rank of the annual edition. With a stabilized line-up, CORKAGE keeps on writing and performing live :
Metal Festival at Rail Théâtre, Francheville Metal Festival, Honky Tonk Bar, Music's Pub, Le Rouge et Noir, Les Entrepots, The Rollerball, The Black and White, MJC Ménival, The Bacchus Café, and so... Release of an autoproduced 6 titles CD, « Sun », partly financed by subscription. Unfortunaltely, due to increasing problems, the band faces the departure of two of its members.
1997-2006 The remaining members (Chris, Lolo and Fab ') keep the adventure on, with several musicians but the alchemy seems to be no longer in. Olive comes back in the band, as well as Guigui, but it is difficult to find again the energy and spontaneity of early days. Numbness is roaming ! Now too far from his taste in music, Chris leaves the band, leading to the departure of Guigui.

2006 Meeting with Ben. Good feeling, he joins in the band, bringing his energy, enthusiasm and new influences. The will is here !
2007 CORKAGE is back ! The band takes its actual line-up during the summer of 2007. After meeting Ben, the band meets Amine, who will bring the last missing piece, to the band : vocals. As Amine masters several kinds or aspects of singing, he adds an essential value to the band.
December 2008 The band records a 4 titles demo : Death to the deserving in its rehearsal space, thanks to Vince PETITJEAN (guitar player in the brutal death band ETERNAL)
2009 With an increasing motivation, since the line-up stabilization, the band intends to use its 4 tracks demo to find dates and play again.
And the feedback is positive, as written by LE CHANT DU GRILLON, METAL SICKNESS and VS-WEBZINE for demo reviews.
First show on July 4th with .F.O.A.D. (Thx guys) and Alvinella Pompejana, live report by Pavillon 666. The band plays on September 18th with 8 BALL INK and Down Under. CORKAGE appears on the "Revelation Underground N°9" compilation by PAVILLON 666 with the title « Brain Beggar ».
CORKAGE takes part in the Rock contest EMERGENZA on October 9th at La Marquise, and another gig is scheduled on December 12th with Auspex, Sceau de L'ange, ULTIMATE and Down Under.

CORKAGE is famished as that had not arrived to him for a long time, so Book-us !!! :-).
