Having many times being called the finest guitar player to
have graced the planet, Guthrie Govan is set
to turn the guitar playing world on its head.
'Erotic Cakes' is a listening and inspirational
jewel. Guthrie's exquisite playing will undoubtedly become the bench mark
for Guitar. Equally Seth Govan and Pete Riley have raised the bar with their Bass and drum virtuosity. The performances
here are truly amazing. The one thing that will separate
this recording from the mainstream is the musicality of the song writing
and the production.
INTRODUCING THE AMAZING INCOMPARABLE THOMAS LEEB TO CORNFORD RECORDS

Thomas Leeb
Austrian born Thomas Leeb plays a style he calls 'the bastard child of acoustic fingerstyle'. This style owes as much to percussive techniques as traditional fingerstyle guitar as his tunes are usually punctuated by slaps, pops and beats. Adding to the overall effect is his frequent use of ringing harmonics. The resulting blur of busy hands and fingers has to be seen to be believed.
His repertoire consists of self-penned numbers, traditional tunes and occasional covers such as Guns 'n' Roses' Sweet Child O' Mine and Bob Marley's I Shot The Sheriff.
Leeb released his first album, the now out of print Reveller, as a precocious 17 year old. However, his unique style didn't come into full force until his 1999 album Riddle. He has since released two further albums Spark in 2004 and Upside Down in 2006.
Along the way he has picked up a number of influential fans including Woody Mann, Alex de Grassi and Eric Roche who was his guitar teacher, "for about five minutes and then I heard him play".

No#1 No doubt. I recently tried a Cornford amp and it truly is the greatest guitar amp ever. I think the price is resonable. Goodbye to many amps. I still do own marshalls they have been good amps. I also have a solid state amp that I patterned after frank Gambales idea to put a TC Electronics G major, with a JMP1 , and a Stewart PA 1000 Solid state amp. Its a good sound. Its a new day now with Cornford in first and Suhrs in second. Kudos for a wonderful line of amps. I admit with ease they are the best amp for guitarists in the world, especially the Govan Guthrie, Frank Gambale, Alan Holdsworth, Scott henderson styles in Particular. Im saving and I will Buy one this year, Got to have one. Thank you I have been waiting for this add for 3 months.
Its great to have you as friends! We've lots of mutual customers: Phil Hilborne, Jeff Green, Laurie Wisefield etc....All jolly nice chaps and serious tone-monsters! No wonder they use your amps. They all rave about them!
Hey Paul, I just added a MK 50 to my Hellcat rig! Another great sounding amp!! Although I'm afraid if you keep making different amps I'm going to go broke!!! Mark Clayton Cornford Junkie
