Distortion began as a home recording project and two rough demos were recorded between 2004 and 2005.
In 2006 the album entitled "Sick in the Head" was released which was a major step forward technically and in terms of production for the band. Stand out tracks were "Deathtrap", "The Suffering", "Lost Love" and "Leprosy".
In 2006 it was decided it was time to take things a step further and form a full live band.
A friend called Mike was recruited on drums and brothers Paul and John on Rhythm Axe and Bass.
Rehearsals began in the winter of 2006 and the first live peformance was in June 2007.
Unfortunately due to work and family commitments Mike had to move away but was replaced by Chris Andrews in the summer of 2007.
By the end of 2007 the second album was completed and titled "Cornish Metal". Stand out songs were "Lost Land Of Lyonesse", "The Mermaid Of Zennor", "Floating Skull" and 'Phantom Ship".
In 2008 Paul and Chris left the line up due to other band commitments. Paul was replaced by guitarist Sean Hughes and Chris by Ali.
Since early 2009 the band had been practicing with the new lineup with the intention of playing gigs but in the spring of 2009 Ali left the band.
The band is now searching for a new drummer.
