Coronados were formed in 2002 by guitarist Charlie Lorenzi. The three-man band performed all over South American, and released a split album on No Fun Records. Lorenzi relocated to Ann Arbor, MI, USA and took the the band name with him. In 2004, Coronados made its Detroit debut with the new American line-up. The female-powered rhythm section now consists of Ann Arbor musician Claudia Leo on drums, and Detroiter Melody Licious (The Sirens, former Gore Gore Girls) on bass. In 2007 the band added the high-energy and fashionable Rick Ruiner on lead vocals.
The band is currently carving their nitch in the Detroit and Ann Arbor rock scenes, and plan return to South America for a tour this fall with a new release.

Well, I'm happy to gather all these bands from all over the world in the 4th issue of the Garage Rock Playlist. I really got the feeling that the number of garage bands is unlimited and it's quite frustrating to realize we are facing an ocean of pure Nuggets and only a part of them will come to us! Well, bands are mostly from South America (Argentina, Brazil, Mexico) and Scandinavia (Finland, Sweden) but also from Europe (UK, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Switzerland) and North America (US, Canada)!I invite you to take a break on MySpace in order to discover all these lovely tracks we can be proud of ! Hola, acabo de subir un nuevo tema a mi space, se llama zappin y bueno, lo escribí una noche al llegar a casa después de un concierto, puse la televisión mientras tocaba la guitarra y cuando me vine a dar cuenta llevaba un rato tocando mientras de fondo sonaba uno de esos documentales que ponen en las televisiones locales a altas horas de la madrugada así que cambie de canal y en un noticiero hablaban de la detención de una chica terrorista en el País Vasco francés. Y nada, sin darme cuenta acabé escribiendo de las dos cosas así que decidí llamarla “Zappin” porque al fin y al cabo se trata solo de eso.
