Pantera, Nevermore, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kiss, Danzig, Corrosion of Conformity, Mercyful Fate, Black Label Society, Motorhead, Down, Type O Negative, Van Halen, The Misfits, Crowbar, Skid Row, Vital Remains... to name but a few.
From the remains of many musical projects, brothers Sam, Nabz and Hyder Ali along with new addition Woody Conway, formed in late 2006 to begin CORRAL. They began writing songs with the idea of bringing a heavy, fast and groove ridden sound and also an aim to be proud of the music they create.
CORRAL started their journey on Dublin’s live scene in December 2006 and following a string of hugely successful shows in and outside of Ireland’s capital, they hit the studio to lay down their first Demo.
With the Demo in its fourth pressing stage, CORRAL have played such high profile and prestigious shows such as ‘Phantom FM105.2: Metal Showcase’, ‘Day of Darkness: Merry Darkness 2007’ and most recently a headline slot in front of 250+ at Fibber Magee’s – Dublin, in support of their demo.
As well as regular airplay on Dublin’s Phantom FM, CORRAL have also been included in this season’s Underground Movement Release – ‘Intoxicated Volume 5’, due out in early 2008.
CORRAL are scheduled to hit the studio in April 2008 to record their first E.P., which will be shortly followed by a national tour in support of this release.
