Corrections Charities Limited is a Non-profit Tax-Exempt (501 (c) (3)) organization. The organization originated as Corrections Charities which operated for a number of years under the wing of three of the Local Unions (Locals 18, 1005, and 178) which are under Council 24, AFSCME. In its history Corrections Charities has maintained a long history of fund raising for various charitable causes. In 2005 Corrections Charities evolved into Corrections Charities Limited when it was established as a non-profit organization on August 25, 2005 through Articles of Incorporation. On March 31, 2006 Corrections Charities was approved for Tax Exempt status. Over the past three years the direction of the organization has been focused giving back to the community. We became aware of the Local High School in Waupun, WI, which was in need of an athletic complex, which met State requirements. Currently the track and field venue, which is used for home track and field events, is 18 miles away in the city of Beaver Dam due to the safety requirements not being met at the site in their home town. The desire to provide a modern Athletics complex to include a Football/Soccer field with a quality setting for track and field events as well as other athletic venues is a very worthy cause. Our goal is to provide the youth the ability to have playing fields and locations, which allow them to participate in quality athletics programs and cultivate a competitive, healthy and safe environment. ....
