The reason why I put up this profile on MySpace is because a couple of years ago I got so fed up and frustrated trying to figure out this Internet marketing thingy, that I swore that once I "figured" it out, I would help other people at the very least learn the basics so they wouldn't have to struggle and go through what I did.
And so I created this site to connect with newbie entrepreneurs who may be in the same position I was in…and hopefully my story can inspire you to get the necessary "skills" for success online just like I did, but without to go through some of the pitfalls and frustrations I had to endure.
But before I get into any of that…let me tell you a little more about myself…
I Was a Kid-Prenuer
I've always had that entrepreneurial spirit even as a young child growing up in sunny Riverside, California. I had many businesses as a kid from selling newspapers, to selling greeting cards, to upholstery repair.
So quite naturally as I became an adult I tried my hand at home based business with my best friend Maria at my side. Our partnership didn't last long and I had to go solo. I did well on my own doing direct face-to-face sales but quickly realized that I can only be at one place at one time and there's only so many hours in a day – needless to say I was limited in what I could do in my business. That was my first dilemma.
I also had to be the collector of money and keep track of who would pay me when and kindly remind them to do so…and then remind them again and again. I didn't like being the bill collector and chasing down people.
Jobs Aren't Secure…Even the Union Ones!
That side business had to put to the side burner as I unexpectedly got laid off after just buying a brand new home and becoming a foster mom to 3 kids. I nearly lost everything, but luckily I didn't.
That entrepreneurial bug bit me again a few years later. However that same problem of chasing people to collect my money came up again but in a different way. I was now cold calling leads in my new business and chasing people to sign up, return my phone calls, and show up for appointments they made themselves. I was getting burnt out real fast.
I hated cold calling opportunity leads and besides, I just wasn't good at chasing people - period. Not to mention the leads were expensive. You'd have to be a super recruiter. And like most people I couldn't get good enough fast enough to make it worth my while.
And genealogy leads? I won't go there LOL… It's not to say that buying leads and using genealogy leads don't work, because they do. It's that it takes awhile to develop your skills; not to mention you'd better get good real fast or you'll find yourself burning a hole in your wallet.
And here I was spending lots of money buying leads and spending countless hours trying to reach them.
I got tired of forking over my hard earned cash to buy another batch of leads leads. I got tired of pumping myself up just to call the leads. I even got tired of listening to MLM trainers demonstrate how to call leads. And you know what? In some cases they weren't so hot at calling them either!
I had to find another way besides spending countless hours on the phones talking to people who just ended up wanting a work at home j-o-b…
Good grief!!
I was hearing a lot of buzz that people were having success using the Internet to market their business. And then He walked into my life…
I Met The Original King of the Internet
While surfing around on the 'net I ran across a site from a boyish looking man who turned out to be one of the original Internet gurus, Corey Rudl. I attended one of his seminars just several months later and I was stoked. As fate would have it, the guest speaker, Jermaine Griggs, had to cancel at the last minute so I got to hear from Corey himself.
Corey told stories upon stories of Internet marketing success and discussed some of his strategies. It was a real eye opener. When I left there I was excited at the many opportunities the Internet offered, but I still didn't have a blueprint in how to put it into action. Sadly a few short months later, Corey died in an automobile racing accident.
Still searching for the pieces to put it together, I still had my handy dandy script in hand trying to muster up the courage to cold-call leads just in case I didn't find the answers I was looking for.
And then the oddest thing happened…
A Lead Company Changed My Life
My sponsor in the lead company I was a member of (I told you I was holding on to those leads!) came out with a controversial e-book that shook up the network marketing industry. She was revered. She was ridiculed. And yet she had the answers I've been looking for all this time. Her name was Ann Sieg.
It was the starting point in learning how to market on the Internet. I eventually learned from a lot of different Internet marketing gurus and bought the e-books and courses. I did really well and even began teaching basic Internet marketing and starting my own ezine, The 'Net Insider.
Then social sites started popping up and social media marketing was beginning to take off. I wanted to learn how to use social media in building my business… but of course I ran into my old friend, frustration, again.
I was spinning trying to put together the pieces.
I didn't know a content sharing site from a bookmarking site. I didn't know how to "play this game" the big social media stars were playing. After following lots of people and junking up my computer with "expert" e-books, I slowly had to put together the pieces of this thing called social media marketing myself. But there were some things I wasn't getting...
Heck No, I'm Not Signing Up For Another One!
Then along came something called Renegade University and I thought "Oh great another marketing system to clutter up the Internet!" But as I took the time to look closer at it, I noticed that this system was different…it actually taught social marketing. What a novelty!
And now those puzzle pieces were beginning to make a better picture of what social marketing was and even how to apply attraction marketing (and yeah, I read those attraction marketing theory books too).
I'd only wished I found this site a lot sooner. My marketing skills went up a big notch when I began to apply what I learned. I began to creating my own exclusive leads and getting first page listings on Google sometimes within a day. It's no wonder Renegade University has become the top internet marketing training site for network marketers. And yes I said training and not branding. You can't do branding unless you're trained in learning about attraction marketing. You don't put the cart before the horse and expect to go somewhere. Getting the right basic skills is essential to success.
Now I help and train other people to get them off to a faster start than when I first started. If you could only imagine the satisfaction you would feel knowing that you had the skills to create leads at will…never to struggle again. I do. Internet network marketing is the way to go.
Who I'd like to meet:
I like to work with serious people and get them up to speed, but my time is very limited. So I'm only looking for ambitious, hard-working, business people who are serious about building a business online.I'm not looking for lazy people who want to sit back and do nothing but collect information and then whine and complain about how nothing works out for them and how everything is a scam.
Please don't ask to be my friend if that's you.
I'll run with the runners, jog with the joggers, walk with the walkers, but I will NOT sit with the sitters.
