Plans were made in 2005 to form a hard hitting rock band by Samuel (Guitars/Vocals).The first incarnation of the previously named Corrupted Soul consisted of Samuel,Nikita (Drums) and Chloe (Bass).Later two new members were added and the line-up was Samuel (Guitars/Vocals),Nikita (Bass),Chloe (Guitars),Alyssa (Drums) and Samm (Keys).Before a possible performance however all members decided to leave the band leaving Samuel on his own.Samuel decided to keep the band but as a solo project.
Attempts were made to write and record a demo but inspiration was coming from nowhere,then Samuel decided to pay homage to his greatest influence....Metallica.Thus Samuel begun writing some basic songs but had no luck on his own.He made the choice to reform a line-up and return to having a band.Eventually fellow guitarist Alex joined him and together they wrote the basic structure for 3 songs "Burn The Holy Ones","Warrior Within" and "Girl In Black".During that time Samuel discovered that other metal bands had the name Corrupted Soul,so instead of fighting over it the name was changed to Corrupted Omen.
Feeling accomplished from their songwriting they took a break to persue other things.Samuel however decided to find a bassist and drummer.One day Samuel heard Felix playing drums in a practice room at their school and after consulting Felix's drum teacher,Samuel asked Felix to join them.He accepted the offer.Still Corrupted Omen needed a bassist,Samuel noticed Haare who was a fellow guitarist was also a bassist,knowing Haare's love for classic thrash metal,Samuel asked him to play bass for them which he accepted.
Corrupted Omen was a full entity again.With a performance coming up in no more than a week the band had to finish one of the songs Samuel and Alex co-wrote earlier."Warrior Within" was first pick but due to the simplicity of "Burn The Holy Ones" that was chosen instead.Unfortunately Alex had broken his fingers and decided that Corrupted Omen was not for him.With a few days left Haare switched to lead guitar and the band brought in a fill-in bassist,They performed "Burn The Holy Ones" after a mere 2 practices.Having felt successful the band have continued to strengthen themselves.But who was to fill the bass player spot was still uncertain,until a good friend of the band came into practice one day and picked up the bass riff to "Burn The Holy Ones" quickly,thus the band asked him to join and Brendon accepted the offer.
Then Haare was fired from the band due to a lack of commitment and for personal reasons.But the band quickly filled the empty spot with Jacob.
Felix,our dear friend and enthusiastic drummer was forced to leave the band due to him returning to his home country of Germany,the drummer position has been filled by Brad.And unfortunately due to personal issues,Jacob has been forced to leave the band leaving Corrupted Omen as a 3-piece.
Now Corrupted Omen are working hard at unleashing the corruption upon Christchurch and beyond.Bringing together influences far and wide from bands old and new.And so the corruption begins....

On Friday 10th of July we'll be playing at Zebedees with Intergracia & Awakened Inferno then on Saturday we'll be playing at Al's Bar with Intergracia & Dissolution. Hope to see you there!
