WHO IS CORTELLA?
Cortella (aka Yann Cortella) is a French, Paris based Producer/Musician involved in music ever since he can remember.
His meeting with Electronica took place in the early 90's when he was asked by French film director Michel Thibaud to compose and produce a "Dance" track for one of his films. Following this, Cortella was quickly signed by Arcade and this track (Up & Down "Geraldine Frank"/Arcade 1994) became his debut as a House Music Producer. During this period, Cortella also produced and played the big French names such as
Brigitte Fontaine, Indochine and Jacques Higelin among others.
Prior to becoming a Dj, Cortella found Himself becoming more and more attracted to House Music and formed the band "Stereodrome". The band (a duet) charted several top15 hits on European Club charts and was signed by Universal in 1999 - and subsequently in 2001, released its unique LP "that's hook control".
Despite a lack of mainstream/crossover success, “Stereodrome” was very well received among European Dj’s and Radio stations and several tracks were included on major compilations (Barrio Latino vol.4,Fly vol.2, Canabissimo vol.2) and aired on Nova, FIP and FG Radio to name a few.
In 2004 when “Stereodrome” disbanded, there was no way Cortella was going to abandon his intense passion for the deepness of sounds and grooves so the next logical step was to go Solo with a project simply called "Cortella".
After 18 months Cortella was signed by Harlequin (Miami/USA) and in 2007 released
"Dangerous Darling”. A punchy and deep, vocal and instrumental EP that has the perfect mix of sensibilities to be heard outside a strictly dance club atmosphere.
Tracks like "Get it Right" "The Art of backing", immediately caught the attention of several ?European, UK and USA Djs and radio stations and is now heard in Clubs and on Radio stations spreading all across Europe, UK and USA.
When Cortella mans the decks for live performances, he mixes only with samplers and filters (no CD players) in a complete and exciting improvisational style which becomes a mega-remix of his own tracks - pumping house music with positive and very sexy energy. This is, CORTELLA!
With the silky smooth angelic vocals of Tiff Lacey any songs feels like a mystical experience and intimacy is not going to be any different; Tiff Lacey sounds like an Angel. Produced by Russia's Ex-plosion and Killing Remix by Uruguay's Gabriel Robella It's on TOP for TIFF LACEY and this track is very supported for big names worldwide. This remix have a cool melody keyboards created by Gabriel with a creative European drums & big groove lines on it. So, make a test for yourself and destroy the dancefloor.

Conditions de participation : Les inscriptions sont prises en compte dans l’ordre des demandes, et soumises à condition (voir règlement). Le groupe (ou un seul membre) doit appartenir à une école quelle qu’elle soit ou en représentait une si vous n’etes plus dans le cursus scolaires. Vous devez jouer de la musique Rock (dans toute sa diversité). Toute formation doit être composée d’instruments (pas de bande son, pas de DJ). Le festival est ouvert à toutes les écoles et tous les groupes de Rock.
