DUNNERY WELCOMES MITCHELL
Francis Dunnery is delighted to announce that Cort endorsee John Mitchell will be contributing to the New Progressives Project in the Summer of 2009.
Mitchell replaced Dunnery in the Progressive Rock outfit 'It Bites' and due to his obvious talent has worked along side many wonderful musicians including John Wetton. As well as singing lead vocals and playing guitar for It Bites, Mitchell also fronts his own band 'Kino'.
Dunnery explains " John is a fantastic musician. On recommendation I have been listening to his work closely for the last few weeks and he's a really great player. He'll fit in perfectly with the New Progressives and I'm really over the moon that he has decided to come on board and contribute some energy to the project. I'm really looking forward to working with him in the near future".
The New progressives Project will commence directly after the Syn Album and Tour and will be continuing throughout the year. Watch this space for more details.
DUNNERY WELCOMES ROTHERY
Francis Dunnery is delighted to announce Cort Endorsee, Marillion's Steve Rothery will contribute guitar to The New Progressives Summer project.
"I spoke to Rothers via e mail and he said he'd come on board for a song or two so I'm absolutely delighted. I've known Steve and the guys for twenty odd years but I haven't seen them since The Garden of Mystic Lovers video shoot on the Man Tour. It will be nice to see him again. I like Steve a lot, he's a very decent human being and a great guitarist".
I asked Dunnery what sort of guitar he will ask Rothery to play and he explained "Rothers just does his thing doesn't he! I wont ask him to play anything other than his own style. I listened to Marillions latest CD when I was on tour in California and I thought Steve played some very cool stuff. He always plays appropriate and tasteful guitar". Dunnery joked "I need someone like that to offset my shed building!".
The New Progressives project has been rescheduled to begin around May/ June with the release being planned for September 2009 followed by a European and USA Tour. Watch this space for more details.

The record '8 Bullets' is a fusion between old and new and is a Rock Guitar Instrumental Album where there is NOT a 1,000,000 notes but so much more! 8 Bullets has very few technical outbursts as
MELODY, FEEL and TONE play the lead role, and Patrick Vega’s original licks, riffs and melodies always serve the song.
I love my Cort G260 & recently purchased 2nd hand G250 P. I'm only a novice player but guitars tend to be addictive, once you have one, you have to have more ! My next one will be an M600 ;o)
I have a real soft spot for Cort now, they knock the socks off the competition for build qhality, playability & value.....
