My interests are varied. I like Fantasy and Gothic artwork such as Joseph Vargo of Monolith Graphics, Louis Royo, H. R. Giger and Brom. I collect guns of various calibers as well as swords and knives. I read rather extensively. I also like many different kinds of music.

Heroes
It is better to dream and to make yourself a hero than to idolize others.

Allure of the Vampire; Our Sexual Attraction to the Undead
Advanced praise for Allure of the Vampire; Our Sexual Attraction to the Undead:
“Corvis Nocturnum continues to produce significant work on ‘dark’ subcultures from an emic perspective. Allure of the Vampire treats many artifacts of popular culture that have previously gone unanalyzed, offering a unique perspective into our fascination with the undead.” ~ Joseph Laycock, author of Vampires Today: The Truth about Modern Vampirism
“Allure of the Vampire brings you a vision of vampires and sexuality in mythology, philosophy, literature, film and pop culture. It is always good to see Corvis Nocturnum making sincere efforts to bring a fresh view to the big picture of the vampire archetype.” ~ Father Sebastiaan, author of the Sanguinomicon and Master Fangsmith of SABERTOOTH
“As a writer and artist, Corvis Nocturnum guides us into the dark recesses of society with great insight and without judgment. This time he artfully digs even deeper, exploring our unceasing passion for the forbidden and specifically our undeniable attraction to Vampires: real, virtual, mythical, cinematic, or literary. In Allure of the Vampire, Corvis, once more, proves his mettle as the ultimate source for understanding real life darkness - those who inhabit the shadows and dark corners; those who happily fear them, those who love them; those who want to be loved by them ; . . . or be them. A definite MUST READ for all connoisseurs of the UNDEAD!” ~ Lenore, Founder of the Lost Children of the Oubliette
“Allure of the Vampire is not only a very entertaining retrospect of vampires in books, movies, music and other media, it allows you to form you own conclusions as to why there has been such a taboo desire--an insatiable lust--for wanting to know more about these dark, sensuous, dangerous creatures of lore. Such creatures have fascinated us, teased us, romanced us, scared us, and lured us into their forbidden domains for not years, but centuries--and will continue to do so for as long as they exist. If you enjoyed Corvis’ Embracing the Darkness, you’ll enjoy Allure of the Vampire just as much.” ~ Cinsearae R. Santiago, Author: ABRAXAS, Editor/Publisher of Dark Gothic Resurrected magazine.
“For even the most die hard vampire fan, there is bound to be something in this book you hadn’t known about before.” ~ Belinda, Lost Children of the Oubliette, Australian branch

In 2005 I wrote my first book on dark subcultures that is available on Amazon.com, from www.the9thgate.com and www.darkmoonpress.com. It is entitled Embracing The Darkness; Understanding Dark Subcultures. In it I have interviews with The Vampire Don Henrie of Sci-Fi's Mad Mad House, Michelle Belanger, Father Sebastiaan of Strigoi Vii, Peter Gilmore (High Priest of the Church of Satan), Magister Nemo of the Temple of the Vampire, Joseph Vargo and Christine Filipak of Monolith Graphics and many more.
My second book, A Mirror Darkly, is also availible, and my very first art book Dark Visions with an introduction by one of my best friends and fellow artist Joseph Vargo. Thank you Monolith Graphics for your continued support! Keep an eye on www.the9thgate.com for projects unveiled, an online store I co-own.
I've been an invited guest to Indiana University/Purdue University's world religion seminar as a guest speaker on Satanism, and in November of 2007 returned as a guest speaker for the pagan group.
I've appeared twice on Dr. Ed Craft's Magick Mind Radio discussing subjects from Embracing the Darkness.
I'm a Warlock of the Church of Satan, artist, author, and publisher. I'm an avid collector of various books on history, philosophy, and collect many types of weapons.
I am here for intelligent conversation and to network with creative people. Lower class mentality, such as those who are bigots, religious fanatics out to save the "lost" take heed - do not contact me to preach your views to me or waste my time least you become the target for my amusement. Remeber, never go into a battle of wits with the unarmed, it is an endeavor of futility when engaging in discourse with a loquacious foe.
.
However, if you also appreciate the dark side of life in a sane manner, feel free to converse with me. Despite being an elitist misanthrope, I am always delighted to hear from openminded individuals. It's not that we Satanists hate all people, we just despise the majority who lack the drive to overcome their own faults and those of life's roadblocks. I feel Satanism is for the rational anti-herdist, the creative libertine who mocks the self righteous and the ambitious person who relishes life. Even if you carry the red card of the Infernal Empire, remember, they'll take your money but can YOU measure up afterward? Stratification is a part of life, if you do not believe it, you probably blame others for your failings instead of taking a harsh look at your own poor choices.
I do my best to be a decent human being, living by certain principals that are nearly forgotten such as etiquette, common sense and ambition.
And the wisdom of the Magus Peter H. Gilmore:
"...look at contemporary Satanism for what it really is: a brutal religion of elitism and social Darwinism that seeks to re-establish the reign of the able over the idiotic, of swift justice over injustice, and for a wholesale rejection of egalitarianism as a myth that has crippled the advancement of the human species for the last two thousand years."
-- Peter H. Gilmore
Who I'd like to meet: Magus Peter H. Gilmore, Magister James Sass, Magister Lang, Magister Johnson, Witch Scarlet of Diabolic Publications, Warlock Bill M., Tim Burton, Robert Greene (author of The 48 Laws of Power), the artist Magister Diabolos Rex, Brom and Luis Royo and actor Johnny Depp....but not too many others. Few measure up to my level of expectations which would be more on par with the late Magus Anton LaVey, Nietzsche, C.G. Jung, and Ayn Rand.
I've been lucky enough to meet a few people that I look up to very much already such as friend and fellow author Michelle Belanger, my friend Don Henrie, my friend and comrade into the dark realm of art Joseph Vargo, composers I hold in high regard for their sheer musical genius Le'rue Delashay and guitarist Slash. Thanks to all of you for enriching my existance!
