12 cell means that instead of lasting 2 hours (with a 6 cell standard), I can work on it for 4.5-5 hours without having to recharge it...

it's actually pretty awesome. 4gb hard drive, 12 cell battery, and 64 bit something...
all I know is I have an amazing josh groban wallpaper...that's enough for me :) lol
