Cory Wong may be young; but he has already proven himself to be a standout guitarist/musician in the Twin Cities music scene. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, raised in Minnesota; Cory has been establishing himself as a guitarist, producer, composer, arranger, and engineer for several years now. Cory is a recent graduate of the McNally Smith College of Music where he received a BM in Guitar Performance. He has also taken instruction and master classes from Pat Martino, Christopher Parkening, and Pat Donohue. He currently plays with his band Cory Wong Quartet along with Cassondra Meyer every Tuesday at the Artists Quarter in St. Paul, amongst several other venues in the Twin Cities. Other bands Cory plays with are: The R Factor, Wilke, Rachel Holder, Dan Musselman Quartet, Brett Mernin and more. Cory has recently taken over as the Lead Producer and Engineer for the Twin Cities based company, Innovative Multimedia. He has produced, recorded, and worked on albums with many notable artists including: Bootsy Collins, Jimmie Vaughan, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Pat Donohue, Shirley Caesar, Evelyn Turrentine, and more. Cory has been called one of the most versatile and exiting musicians in the Twin Cities, and continues to push the envelope everyday. Cory is also very active in several church ministries in the Twin Cities (New Hope Church, Wooddale Church, North Heights Lutheran Church, and Redeemer Lutheran Church) as a Worship Leader and Musician.
