Who I'd like to meet:

The B-52's (of course!)... okay, actually I already met them once and it was a total surprise! I was NOT expecting it and I didn't say a thing I wanted to say to them, because I was in utter shock. I mean - these are my role models, people!!! All those years thinking "what if" didn't amount to anything, because I totally blanked. I saw them getting into their limo after a show and I approached them like they were deer, as if at any moment they'd run away in fear.... I really want to meet them again just so I can actually say something of great deph instead of "I'm a really big fan".... And of course, I want to meet the perfect man who will be my Prince Charming in my lovely condo where we will celebrate life with family and friends with the security of love on our side..... "IT COULD HAPPEN" (as Judy Tenuta says!)

    I love to make people laugh and to have a good time, although I am more fond of a small group of friends coming over to watch tv and chill out. My living room is decked out as the ultimate bachelor pad complete with a lava lamp, disco ball, various sound activated gizmo's and confy furniture. I even have a high heel chair! Of course, I love a night out too. I like to sing Karaoke at the bars around town. I am famous for my wild rendition of "Rock Lobster" as well as other novelty tunes. I really get into it! I also like hanging out at Steak And Shake on occasions. Bowling is fun too -especially cosmic bowling. I go clubbing once in awhile, but I prefer to dance to the 70's and 80's tunes (and those vintage mixes!)... I am also getting into the habit of working out... I like to write down my dreams (I've got some real doozies!) as well as poetry and outlandish fiction. I like to collect articles of interest from magazine and other sources to make fun scrapbooks that keep me inspired. I also like to create song paradies and record all the parts on my Karaoke machine for friends to jam too... all in all I try to keep busy, but I do like to take naps occasionally to take the edge off :) ..

  • Heroes

    I think everybody has the potential to be a hero and I look up to many people as inspirations. Of course, I see my mom as my ultimate hero! I don't know what I would do without her - raising three kids as a stay home mom in the crazy 80's. She is always happy to see me and hang out with me - even at the bars! In this world, it is so easy to complain and blame everybody for things one cannot control. I try to channel positive energy to light the way. My dad raised us on a single income and it is something I really can't comprehend... All of those hours spent at work to make ends meet. He is my hero in the respect that he never backed down. Other hero's are the everyday people that strive to be true to themselves while owning up to being imperfect, regular people who make mistakes. It is fine to say you're sorry. Of course, being yourself is the best activism of all! I always try to compliment people to let them know that I see something in them that they might have forgotten existed.
