Garnering their name from an obscure Gram Parsons reference, The Cosmic Americana Band does well at combining country, rock-n-roll, and folk into an amalgam that continues to blur genres. The sound of the band has been constantly evolving from their days of purely acoustic music to the rich, clean, reverb-heavy electric guitars, twangy guitjo, and haunting violin. The band was created by musicians from the local Cookeville music scene in the summer of 2005, and by using Seth's songwriting as a foundation, they quickly put together a strong set list of songs. From that point on, they focused on winning over a following with the Cookeville natives and the local college students. They've steadily increased the range of their live shows and their fanbase by not trying to be someone they're not. The Cosmic Americana Band's music plays well to the fans of college radio where the sound from one song to the next can be as wide as the Grand Canyon and you can't expect what's next. However, when attending a TCAB show, the audience CAN expect to dance around, bob their heads, sway, and sing along to their catchy songs.
Our first full length album, Adult Lessons, is available in the following retail locations.

Futurama would describe it as "Vaguely Folkish Alterna-rock". TCAB makes music to break up, make up, and wake up to. not to mention have a few beers to also.
"The Cosmic Americana Band has released a new album that throws together a swirling mix of pop rock, country, blues, and folk melodies." -- The Mufreesboro Pulse
"Although the subject matter of the songs is mostly linked to troubled times with loved ones, the catchy phrases and smooth guitar playing make you feel right at home. From the pop-rock influenced “What Turns You On, Turns Me On” to the laid-back country blues influenced “Bluegrass Hippie”" The Mufreesboro Pulse
"The pure, smooth sound translates well for many age groups. The diversity of the songwriting, recognizable lyrics, and the solid musicianship of the album shine through." The Murfreesboro Pulse
