Hi, I'm Bob. I play, repair, build, teach guitars and sing. I play other instruments too but guitar is my bag.
I was a co-founding member of a Merseybeat group, The Shakers, but times move on, as did I, although I still love the music. Mike, my brother designed the website, but not that which is being shown now. If you have an interest in that sixties period you can see some more of my vintage/period equipment on their myspace photo page.
I have just built another Broadcaster using all Fender parts, apart from where I feel they would have compromised the authenticity of the 1950 model, then I used more specialist sources. I am able to make, for those who would like it, 'Telecasters/Broadcasters/Stratocasters' and basses to whatever spec you want, just drop me a line or check out www.myspace.com/bobcasterguitars. My next project is under way and will be with Matt Bascetta, I believe he is the best luthier around (his number is 0779-169-1251). This project has not been public until now because it is very recently that I received the blessing that made it possible. I had the honour of speaking with Mr. Kenny Howes of Rickenbacker and he has given me the O.K. to build that which I hold to be the finest Rickenbacker, hence the finest guitar, EVER, the 850 Combo. I would never have expected to have been able to write the last sentence. THANK YOU MR. HOWES, THANK YOU RICKENBACKER. I must point out, without this permission the project could not have taken place and I will not make any form of Rickenbacker replica for anybody.
This is all a long way away from the military history which I studied but sometimes, a change is better than a rest.
I have written my own songs for as long as I have played guitar. I am selecting some of them to record later in the year, if things go according to plan and I am looking forward to the project immensely.
If you would like to learn guitar then you are welcome to contact me, via myspace is probably the easiest way, for lessons.
I have employed the myspace friends randomizer on my 'top friends' list and put as many people in there as I can so that everyone is in my top friends. A friend is a friend, there is no pecking order here.

Hi Bob, one way you could help us is by mentioning our gig on Friday Sep 18th at the Cavern to whoever you think might be interested in supporting the cause.
Hi Cosmic Bob, I saw you yesterday in Williamson Square but didn't get a chance to speak as you were talking to some people. How are things with you, how is your leg, hope it's better now?
Thanks for your comments, sorry took so long to respond. Yes I've been fascinated by all things Rickenbacker since I was a kid. Although as I'm by no means an accomplished musician, if I ever got to own one it would be wasted on me! Interested to hear you're into Mr Camus as well. Regards Brian
