CGC BJD!

About me:

This is the myspace for CosmicGeminiCosplay's ABJDs, or Asian Ball-Jointed dolls. If you do not already know, CGC is made up of twin cosplayers, Neko~Kaolla and Lolita Minako. This is a place for us to spam pics of our dolls and such, as well as post news about Meetups and Events we are attending that are doll related.

This is also the place to ask us about Karamels from Totems, clever doll bags made by CGC's Mom!

This is also prime space for Lolita Minako to post pics of her BJD Faceup practice! You can find pictures in the "LM's Faceups" album here on MySpace. Once she is ready, she will accept commissions (that is not now...check for updates...)

..Neko~Kaolla's dolls:..
Nobuyuki, aka "nobu": He's your typical boy. Tough on the outside but on the inside he's all mush. He can be a tad snarky at times, but he knows when it isn't appropriate and knows when to quit. His sister is Miyuki (who he calls "Ki-chan"). He loves cosplaying and has a few costumes he wants to do. He's a little attention whore, so he loves getting his photo taken. Unlike his sister, he's very outgoing, so he is protective of Miyuki (and, yes, he approves of Miyuki's boyfriend, Claude). His favorite toy is his little stuffed cow, Moo. His favorite colors are black, red, and orange, but hates being called anything like "Flamer" or something similar because he hates fire. He's made of resin, after all!! He has a pet frog named Wart (after King Arthur in Disney's The Sword in the Stone).

Analiese, aka "Ana": A classic beauty inside and out. She's a great friend to have and will always be there when you need her. She loves Nobu and Kiki as if they were her baby brother and sister, and thinks Adele is very misunderstood and loves her, too. She loves Disney, especially the Disney Princesses and Tinker Bell. She's a bit more shy than Nobu, but will not be reluctant to take photos. She also has a pet ferret she named Rose after her favorite princess, Aurora!! Her favorite colors are pastels, or really anything you'd associate with being a "girl," and thus likes pretty things! She takes after the rest of the family and has a love for cosplay. Anastasia, aka "Anya": Anastasia is a shy little thing, but is always paying attention (she's a great listener). She's young, innocent, and always willing to learn. Her favorite things are anything "cute-sie," like bunnies, kittens, and the like. During her first meet she watched Ana and Nobu cosplay, and now she's dying to do the same. Her pet bunny, Buncake, was given to her by Takehito (a CherishDoll Chubby she likes that lives with Brittney). She instantly knew he was cool when they met-he was dressed as Pluto! Ana is a role model to her and is like a big sister. Anya is also one you go to for help if you need advice-her innocence gives you the purest and simplest of answers that only a child can give. Her best friend is Shirley.

Phillip, aka "Phil": Phil (who was named after Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty because he was the prize when Ana won wearing her Aurora gown, given by Comicbookartistboi) is a little joker through and through. The others have to keep a close eye on him because of his mischief. To sum up, he's the one that would put a whoopie cushion on your chair in a fancy restaurant. He may look innocent, but if he's grinning he's coming up with some sort of prank. Well, boys will be boys, after all!

..Lolita Minako's dolls:..
Miyuki, aka "Kiki": Shy and soft spoken, Miyuki is liked by pretty much everyone, especially her boyfriend, Claude (a Dollzone Xi), and kindness is second nature to her. She even took in Adele when no one else would! She likes to be pretty and loves dressing up, and she idolizes Analiese for her beauty. Miyuki may not speak much, but she listens well, and when she does speak, it is always kind and understanding, and she will never hold anything against anyone. She loves fantasy, and dreams of visiting a castle someday. Miyuki has one pet, a chihuahua names Yuing-Mei. Faceup by DoA member Comicbookartistboi.

Adele: Adele is not quiet because she is shy, but because she does not care to speak. She may look 21, but Adele has been around for around three centuries. She is a vampire. Transformed against her will by a man she forces herself not to remember, as he killed her husband and stole her life. While he liked to take the innocent, Adele only took the blood of criminals and murderers to survive, and was hired by prisons around the country to dispose of death row inmates. When Miyuki took her in, she discovered that she can still be loved and confide in someone. While she does care for Miyuki dearly, she dotes on Shirley like a daughter. She dreams of finding another immortal and falling in love.

Shirley: Shirley was named after Shirley Temple, and she dreams of being an actress someday. She may only be ten years old, but she is smart beyond her years, and this is from following Adele around and learning everything Adele knows from her 300 years of life. Shirley knows that Adele loves her like a daughter, and she sees her as a mother figure. Adele is the one who gave Shirley her pet bunny, Star, names for the English translation of Adele's last name, Etoile. Faceup by Lolita Minako.

Peter: Peter is the embodiment of the characters in stories like Peter Rabbit and Peter Pan. He is a sprite of youth and purity, although he can be mischievous. His youthful innocence tends to get him into trouble, but not in the "he causes trouble" sort of way. Faceup and Body by Lolita Minako.

Elmindreda, aka "Min": Min is a nighttime sprite, and she enjoys keeping the night sky sparkling and bright. She is a bit of a mischief maker herself, so she and Peter get along famously. She tends to have a short temper (think of a light switch), but she is happy and amused so much that she is rarely ever angry! Doll and Faceup by DoA user LadySaiyuki.
