When you hear Cosmic Hayride there is a familiarity as well as a mystery, you almost know the refrain before you hear it , you not sure what kind of music it is, but it's old fashioned as well as new and improved. A mystical gumbo of rock with heavy helpings of folk, country and blues influence and noticeable accents and hints of Reggae, soul, and even a little vintage metal, you will leave full and satiated by this music, it will stain your clothes, it will make you put on pounds. The sound of this band is the sound of friends who have played together for most of their lives sharing the ride, sometimes easy, sometimes fast, fun and reckless, sometimes bumpy on flat tires and running on fumes. Lyrics and music that flow like storybooks, alive with real characters and incidents one can relate to. With strong songwriting as a cornerstone and a rhythm section solid as hundred year bricks, vocals carpeting the sound in warmth, and painting the mood, the guitars vaulting , interplaying together, supporting as well as flourishing, Cosmic Hayride has built a house of audio joy, and there is a seat on the couch waiting for you.

I do wish to say that this page was created to help fulfil my goal of uplifting and rebuilding the self-esteem of a broken and hurting youth. I am a motivational speaker/youth advocate/author. I will be releasing a book this Christmas season 2009 called "Columbine, Isolated Victims, Ignored Signs" that speaks of intolerance, bullying, low self esteem, victimization, teen gang involvement, parent battering, child abuse, sexual molestation , youths that struggle with their sexuality, and many other issues. Upon the release of this book I will be traveling to schools, church youth groups, youth organizations, and wherever I'm needed to talk to youths about these issues all for FREE. The only payment I will receive is from the support of the book, therefore, your support is deeply appreciated and needed for both myself and those that are hurting.
The youths of this nation is hurting and killing out each other and themselves by means of violence, drugs and sex and it is my goal to help prevent this from continuing.
