The Wish llevan funcionando con su configuración actual desde mediados del 2007. La banda está conformada por Curro a la guitarra y voz, Javi a la guitarra y coros, Campini al bajo, Alfredo a la batería y Eu a los sintes y programaciones, plasmando en sus canciones intensas melodías y visceralidad, pasadas por el tamiz de una elegante presentación. Siendo Curro el compositor y alma mater de The Wish, las heterogéneas influencias de cada uno de ellos se plasman en un sonido indie rock propio muy reconocible aunque con guiños hacia los ochenta y noventa en sus composiciones. Con su primer trabajo, la demo “The monster in me” (2008), cosecharon numerosos premios como el de “Grupo Revelación del Año” en los premios Extremeña Sonora, o primeros premios en los concursos “Suberock” y “Badajozrock”, además de resultar finalistas en el concurso “Grupo revelación 2008” del festival Contempopránea, y en el concurso “Demonova” de Supernovapop. También han sido seleccionados por Mondosonoro para tocar en las “Fiestas demoscópicas” 2009 y galardonados como Mejor Grupo Extremeño en los "Premios Pop-Eye" 2009. Recientemente han sido premiados como "Mejor Directo" en los Extremeña Sonora 2009. En Febrero de 2009 finalizan su nuevo EP, “REV”, tras meses de grabación y mezclas en los estudios Rec Division de Madrid, bajo la batuta de Carlos Calderón (Cycle), masterizado en los estudios Sterling Sound de Nueva York por Greg Calbi (responsable del mastering de bandas como Interpol, The Strokes, MGMT…). El directo de The Wish es el punto fuerte de la banda. Un espectáculo en el que se mezclan rabia y emotividad, potencia y diversión, contundencia y sobre todo, elegancia.
