Cotisuelto Smrz is the singer and co-songwriter of the German alternative rock band destophobia, both hailing from Mosbach, Germany.
Due to his creative output who drove him to write songs he couldn’t possibly perform with destophobia, he founded his electro-alternative The William 2R Project in 2005, and recorded Inside Out Part I: Out, the first part of the "inside out" record series.
One year later, in 2006 he finished his recording work for the second part: Inside Out Part II: Inside, which was much more quiet and from the heart than its antecessor. That’s why he released it not as The William 2R Project, but under his own name. It is the most noticed CD of Cotisuelto Smrz, as it contains songs like "Simon et Maria", "I’m sorry" and "Why isn’t John Dorian Chief Resident?".
On January 1st 2008 he released Inside Out Part III: Inside/Out, the last record of the series. On this album he tried to combine the "inside" with the "out". It contains, as he claims, the best song he has ever written and recorded: Trying to forget.
It didn't take long until he released new material: Just on December 24th he shared "The Four Seasons EP" with the world.
Four seasons, four songs, four different moods and styles - beginning with classical singer-songwriter via reggae to electronica.
His musical style is basically singer-songwriter, inspired by John Frusciante, Damien Rice and Sufjan Stevens among others, but he tries to bring in his electronic as well as his rock- influences.
