Haha oh you should have, I'd have gone mentally excited! I can't fucking believe I missed the National, I completely forgot they were on ughhhh... And I completely agree about the disgusting amount of checked shirts and Abercrombie and Fitch clothing that was on show. So, so, so annoying. Still, I enjoyed the rest of it, I'm pretty sure I'll go next year! xx

Haha yes I was there! I was at the Maccabees with my friend Eliza, we were dancing like a bit away from the main crowd, over to the right side of the stage; if so, that was probably me! :D
How did you like the festival? Did you see Belle and Sebastian? They were the most incredible thing ever... xxx

Absolutely amazing. I really wish I was playing this year... Still, I'm definitely going to go, I'm not going to miss Belle and Sebastian for anything xxxx

a wave of attraction
Worldwide and in every little town and hamlet
We are known

Wherever rivers flow
Emitting sounds
The Siren's cry and the Dragon's wail
Forged from steel deep within the earth's crust

Trekking far and wide
Opening doors and tearing down walls
From back alleys to concert halls
Everyone's welcome

Bring a pint of whiskey
Bring your troubled heart
Feel electricity pulse through your veins
Gallop at a full clip like a cheetah

As your heart races
You fear it may be too much to bare
Yet you are indestructible
You are a gladiator from ancient Rome
Long live Maximo

Long may you stain the memory of man
And make him praise your name
You died by a traitor's knife
But you conquered the many

And as the sea of human bodies sways too and fro
The lights flicker through the evening mist
On this night
At this moment
We are free

Free from the tyranny of evil men
Free from what lies beneath
Free from the shadows that lurk in our minds
Free from the beast
