Fundado em 2003, esta banda oferece um repertório jazzistico dos anos vinte mas reinterpretado com o estilo que Loius Armstrong & All Stars impuseram nos anos cinquenta. Precisamente o nome “COTTAS CLUB” pretende relembrar o novo jazz que se fazia ouvir no famoso bar de New York, COTTON CLUB. Paradoxalmente a gíria na palavra “COTTAS” vem reforçar o estilo antigo desta musica.
Assim a banda é orientada à música dixie, aquela que possui o original e genuíno estilo de New Orleans, capital do Lousiana, cidade berço do Jazz. No seu vasto reportorio contam com blues, rags, marchas, swings, foxtrots em grandes classicos como "When the Saints Go Marching In", "Charleston", “Mack the knife”, "I've Found a New Baby" entre outros.
Adaptados para uma diversidade de Eventos, os Cottas asseguram uma forma diferente de animação cultural, especializada no estilo Dixieland.
A sua vertente musical, alegre, descontraída e solta, baseada no Jazz Dixie Tradicional (New Orleans Style) é adaptável à grande maioria dos ambientes, tais como Casamentos, Jantares, Café-Bares, Esplanadas ou Noites Culturais, Festivais e Eventos Gastronómicos ou mesmo Animações de Rua.
Em 2008, pela segunda vez consecutiva, foram o único grupo português convidado a fazer parte do elenco artístico do maior festival Internacional Dixieland da Catalunha, TARRAGONA – Espanha.

Founded in 2003, this band offers a jazz repertoire of the twenties but re-interpreted with a sound and style based on the Armstrong All Stars of the fifties. Precisely by the name, Cottas Club, wants to remind the new jazz style created at the Cotton Club, the famous New York club. Paradoxically, in Portuguese “Cottas” it means “old style”.
They offer excellent moments, with a different music; happiness and fun, since the traditional jazz, as DIXIELAND, in the pure ad-lib style and the source of good disposal. In its vast repertoire they play Blues, Dixielands, Marches, Swings, Foxtrots like great classics as the “When the Saints Go Marching In”, “Charlestoon”, “Mack the knife” ; "I've Found a New Baby" among others.
Specialized in Dixieland style, Cottas Club provide a different way to cultural entertainment,. Their talent on Dixieland Jazz (New Orleans Style) is adaptable to the vast majority situations, such as Weddings, dinners, coffee-Bars, Cultural Nights, Festivals and Events Gastronomic or even marching bands parades.
For the 2nd time, in 2008, they have been selected to take part in the biggest jazz Dixieland festival in Cataluna - TARRAGONA – Spain
