There are many U.K. sounds that permeate Coulter’s work, possibly due to his Scottish heritage. But as the years go by, these influences seem to have melted away and his true sound has emerged as a songwriter who is as comfortable jingle-jangling the night away as he is singing punk songs about animal rights. With two solo albums under his belt ("The End of Everything" 2003 Reflekt and "Culture" 2007 Hairball 8), Coulter is now hibernating with his third release, as yet untitled, and pending a release date. In the meantime, he is collaborating with Seattle artists Jerry Peerson, and Iggy Faus (Altspeak).

The Animals Need You
This Wednesday, March 5th, Downtown Seattle
Prompted by a complaint from PETA, federal investigators opened a formal inquiry at the University of Washington, Seattle (UW). New information from the ensuing investigation has confirmed widespread violations of animal protection regulations involving studies in which experimenters cut off the tops of monkeys' skulls, insert electrodes into their brains, and implant wire coils in their eyes. The monkeys are then restrained in experimentation chairs, with their heads bolted in place so that they can't move while experimenters track their eye movements. They are kept hungry or thirsty much of the time so that they'll comply during tests to get a sip of water or a bite of food.
Please take some time out of your busy day to speak up for these animals who are tortured in UW's laboratories. They do not have a voice, so we must use ours to speak out for them.
