Sounds Like
odes to dancing, sleepy sundays in small mid-western college towns,
tales of true love gone right, wrong, and everyway in-between, the feeling after the fire has gone out, friendly ghost stories, and Garth Brooks.
Council, Idaho is a band of friends from small towns all across this great nation who have been united by the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They share a love of making sincere and simple songs to play for the enjoyment of themselves, their friends, and friends they've yet to meet in; dim bars and dingy basements, warm living rooms and well lit galleries, cozy coffee houses, cold churches and everything in between. They hope to produce some new recordings soon and to play music together for a long time.
On a couple of sleepy sundays in the summer of '08 a different group of friends came together in a 1970's themed apartment in Muncie, Indiana to record a debut album that they called, "This Town and the Fire". You can hear some of those songs right here, pick up a copy for yourself at a show, or contact us about acquiring it from afar.

i hope you guys are still making music. if you get any other recordings done, send them out Australia way. I don't know why but I just keep coming back to this stuff.
You should come participate in "Pierogi Wednesday" tonight at Tattooed Moms. 7pm. Alan and Dustin are going to try and eat 30 each. I am doubtful that they'll achieve this goal. Levi will (hopefully) join us, if the Folksong Society releases him.
Carrot three..? Ha. Kelly
Ps. If you can't come, we should still hang soon. Me + You + Jay = Donkey Kong.
