Hello all, thanks for checking out my profile on this part of the interweb ;) hope you enjoy my story. I enjoy talking and tend to verge off on different tracks. So please don't feel like you can't message me or send me a comment. I will always return pic comments and will always reply to your messages/comments. I'm a very talkative person and love getting to know other people aswell as making new friends.


My name is Jeanette Suzanne Ardley, although most people just call me Jennie, I use the alias CountessaEruraina or SombreDreams on the internet. Sombre Dreams is the name I put forward to my small growing photography buisiness and is also the name of my website. CountessaEruraina was just a fun thing that came out when me and my friend was messing around with name generators and apparantly Jeanette translated to Eruraina hehe. So that has stuck with me for about 4 years now!


I was born in Hampshire, England and at the age of 2 moved with my parents to the Highlands of Scotland where I lived for about 14 years. I do actually have a highland accent as apposed to an English accent but apparantly that has slowly faded over the years after having moved back to England. I've been living in england for 4 years now. I get incredibly homesick for Scotland, I miss the mountains and even the rain.


I adore the weather but not fussed whether it is raining or beaming with sun, I love all aspects of nature and it fascinates me completely. I adore fogs and mists in particular, especially on a lovely autumn day when all the plants and trees are changing colours. I love walking, especially to the forest near where I live, I will walk and find a good spot on a hill and just sit there for hours watching the world go on around me. I have very fond memories of going wood collecting when I lived in Scotland, with my parents. Cold autumn and winter days we'd scour the forests and the beach front to get firewood, most of the time in the pouring rain. In Scotland we lived in a very secluded part where only a small handful of other people resided, there was at max 15 houses spread out over a huge stretch of about 15 or so miles. It was a very fun point in my life. Although I had to travel 60 miles to go to school and stay there throughout the week as my parents couldn't afford to have me travelling every day,plus it exhausts me travelling in bus or car. I much prefer to walk and will walk rather than use transport whenever I can.


I love ale but rarely get drunk as I much prefer to have fun with my friends and remember it the day after. I don't smoke and I detest drugs :P so all in all I'm a pretty clean girl, but I don't frown on others who follow any of those categories, I've learned first hand that it is "each to their own" and to not nag or frown upon others :).

I love animals and have 3 dogs, a black cat, a little grey and white tabby and a Bearded Dragon at the moment. As part dedication to animals and the world around me I give half my profits from prints of my photography to the WWF. It makes me feel better knowing that I am giving something to a world that has given so much to me and my ancestors before me. So I'd ask kindly that you please don't disrespect my wishes for that particular aspect.


I'm obsessed with Vikings and the Viking era. I follow Asatru closely and am very interested in all aspects of spirituality whatever they are, especially the olden religions. I'm also obsessed with spooks and haunts and myths and legends...


I'm obsessed with corsets and corsetry and have been tightlacing/waisttraining for 3 years now. Buying corsets has become a bit of an obession and I am always on ebay looking for great finds...


I love architecture and admiring the way things were built.


I love looking at old run down buildings and their decay.
