Unlike many hardcore bands hailing from Los Angeles the band were born and bred in the city of angels. Coming from the barrios of Cypress Park and Pico Rivera two areas north and south of East Los Angeles.CT have garnered much attention since the release of their 3-song demo entitled 'Let the Legacy Begin? This was released in early 2004.
In 2006 CT caught the attention of No Joke Records who decided to put out the bands first EP “Broken, Blinded, Betrayed” the 6 song CD was well received and gave the band the opportunity to tour the East Coast. Being influenced from hardcore to Hip-Hop music from such acts as Downset, Psycho Realm, Social Justice Etc. Countime seek to expunge two-timers and mainstream America with lyrics and music in the realm of their LA mentors and use a unique blend of brutal riffs and old-school hardcore growls with a little L.A. flavor hip hop to get the job done. The band is firmly entrenched in their Mexican roots and is in no way ready to let go of the Hardcore Underground in which they were conceived .Growing up all over L.A. as kids they have seen a lot and decided to make that there stand to represent the Los Angeles life through their eyes .
In 2007 Hate core Records would release the compilation –THE UNITED STATES OF HARDCORE where CT would record the track ‘’Black Candles’’ after that they would spend the rest of 2007-2008 touring California, Vegas ,South West and numerous shows across the border in Mexico.
2009 CT went in the studio to record their new full length record but due to issues with there former label the record would not be released…..CT is currently looking for a new label and will continue to hold it down for the real kids who still believe in Hardcore Countime deal‘s with issues from drug abuse, underage pregnancy, gang violence, graffiti art, family, Mexican culture and love for the city they adore and praise to the day they die we call Los Angeles.
