   About Country Girl Ashlie
My name is Ashlie Denise. I have been singing most of my life. Also, I play guitar and Piano, which is a lot of fun. Most of my days are spent, learning new songs and playing my instruments. I strive to get better everyday.

My goals are high and I have every intention of meeting them. In my short life, my accomplishments have been very rewarding! I am currently doing gigs, me, my guitar and keyboard. Also, I sing in a band on weekend, Link Byrge and the Open Range Band.

So, as u can see, I am having a lot of fun. Thanks to all my fans, without you all, I am nothing. Special Thanks to everyone, who has helped me along the way on this Musical Journey. You all know who u are! I Love you all with all my heart.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be.
That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.
But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.
There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.

constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.
So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.
Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

Keep Believing in Yourself

A BOY AT THE PIANO                     I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS STORY

Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.
Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE." When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing.
Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on
the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw
her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."
Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left
hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was mesmerized.
That's the way it is in life. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't exactly graceful flowing music. But when we trust in the hands of a Greater Power, our life's work truly can be beautiful.
Next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You can hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear,

Some stars shine,
others gather as glitter to the sky
The pitter patter of little feet,
the love of happiness, found inside

Some will triumph, some will touch the moon,
a door will open, beauty will enter the room
When there is always tomorrow,
the light of a new day

To look up at the heavens,
to look into your eyes
The child from within,
teardrops as the child cries

Some day to find that love,
a refinement, when all hope was down
Some stars do shine, other glitter in the sky
To look to the heavens, in a prayer,
to God, in asking why

The Turkey shot out of the Oven

The turkey shot out of the oven
and rocketed into the air,
it knocked every plate off the table
and partly demolished a chair.

It ricocheted into a corner
and burst with a deafening boom,
then splattered all over the kitchen,
completely obscuring the room.

It stuck to the walls and the windows,
it totally coated the floor,
there was turkey attached to the ceiling,
where there'd never been turkey before.

It blanketed every appliance,
it smeared every saucer and bowl,
there wasn't a way I could stop it,
that turkey was out of control.

I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure,
and thought with chagrin as I mopped,
that I'd never again stuff a turkey
with popcorn that hadn't been popped.
