About me:
I have been teaching line and couples dancing for the past 20 years. I have classes located in central Illinois as well as teaching at dance workshops throughout the midwest. While teaching classes is fun I find the extra reward of being booked into workshops to teach my own choreography really makes what I do something special. One of my dances "Unchain" written to Joe Cocker's version of Unchain My Heart, has been taught around the world. That just shows that line dancing is no longer the "Yee Haw" country boot scoot fad but has matured into a dance form that is not only fun and good exercise, but also encompasses many forms of music. I also teach couples and couples pattern dancing and am the NTA (National Teachers Association) Illinois State Director. I try to do more than get up teach something (like I have seen some bar room instructors do) I try to educate and entertain and help everyone have a good time learning.
