County Crook finished recording the debut album "Sonic Poetry" in the studio with producer/musician Jason Touchette in May 2006. The record also features Touchette on all drums and percussion and Paul Soroski on bass. Official release date was July 4, 2006. It can be purchased now on the official site and at 2 physical locations(check blog to see where) if you prefer to pick up a copy in person. We are currently looking for musicians(guitar, drums, bass)to complete the band line-up. If your interested and live in the Austin area then feel free to contact us. We are very proud to announce our cooperation with Ván Records, a well established underground label that for years has delved deep into the soul of Occult music.
The first token of this unholy union will be the release of a 7", this little slab of vinyl will contain a newly recorded version of "The Graveyard Shuffle" and the new song "A Waxing Moon Over Babylon". It will be released the 17th of April on the ROADBURN festival, which will also be the cult's first ever live ritual.
The single will be recorded, mixed and co-produced by Pieter "Pidah" Kloos, a trained professional, who has worked in the past with bands such as 35007, MOTORPSYCHO, POWERVICE and many, many more.

Just checking in, and giving you an update on where I stand with the recording of my debut record.
We have recorded all of the instrumental tracks, and most of the vocals. I was lucky enough to collaborate with a group of amazing musicians, and things are starting to sound awesome!!!
I hope to have all of the recording complete by mid March; leaving mixing, mastering and duplication to be done.
If all goes well, the record should be released sometime in April.
