About COURT

COURT is a band born in 1990.

The first album "and you'll follow the winds'rush 'till their breath dwells" was recorded in 1993 in Leonberg(Germany) and the second, "distances", in 1995 in Germany too, both with the label "wmms music is intelligence".

After some line-up changes in 2000 Marco Strobel entered in this project with his guitars and the band started to record a new album in "La sauna" studio with the precious aid of Andrea Cajelli in the garments of sound engineer and artistic producer togheter with Marco Sessa. For some personal problems, the mixing was never completed for some year but finally resumed in January 2005.

The new album produced by Court will be available in April 2007.
In January 2007 the line-up was modified, infact a new young bass guitar player, Jacopo Favrin became a new member of the band. Luigi Bonacina, who took part of this marvellous adventure since the beginning, goes on to collaborate with Court's new projects, writing and composing.

IN NOVEMBER 2007 THE BAND WON THE LOS ANGELES MUSIC AWARD AS BEST ALTERNATIVE ARTIST 2007!

L’ idea sostenuta dall’associazione Culturale Decimamusa nasce dall’esigenza di creare sistemi inusuali per la libera circolazione delle opere. L’opera sara’ ospitata presso case private,la prima tappa del viaggio che avra’ la durata di due settimane, prenderà forma presso la dimora di Federico Bianchessi, giornalista e scrittore. Una accoglienza destinata pero’ a non trasformarsi in possesso. Si vede, si tocca (con delicatezza) ma non si vende: l’obiettivo e’ quello di coinvolgere il maggior numero possibile di persone che adotteranno,in una forma di affido temporaneo l'opera, per poi passarla alla casa successiva. L’evento sara’ sostenuta dalla presenza dell’attrice Claudia Donadoni che interpreterà un racconto scritto da Federico Bianchetti e sara’ sonorizzata dalle musiche di Raffaele Riccioli. L’opera IN MIO ONORE Espressione creativa di una riflessione sul ciclo della vita e della morte e' ispirata dal verso di una canzone di Fabrizio De Andre’ – nasce da uno strumento di lavoro la cui funzione pratica viene negata e sublimata in una visione mistica simboleggiata dal rivestimento d’oro. E’ costituita da due elementi: una vanga laminata con foglia d’oro e un piccolo vaso dorato. La vanga rimane sospesa al di sopra del vaso.
