Raw materials of hope and despair gleaned from life itself, gathering substance in choral roots, fired in the mold of masters like Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLachlan, newcomer lyricist and aspiring recording artist Courtney Ariel refreshes timeless inner dialogue by re-asking the questions we thought we had the obvious answers to, such as: Can love confidently rise even when a heart is full of doubt? Unpretentious and committed to the journey, Courtney freely goes back again and again to the sources of her emotions and to the basics of human questioning, her songs of love, collected from the stories and memories that populate her inner world, ponder the strength of inner light when external darkness bleeds in, corrupts, and complicates. my new band with gigo and stanze called the touchies, first show is
this sunday, june 21st at the ruby room in hillcrest. (on university).
we are the first of 4 or 5 bands and we go on FIRST right at 9pm SHARP!
we have a new sound that i like to call beat pop. which is sort of a mixture between punk and having fun
