Courtney Collins is a musician/songwriter/chanteuse from Madison, Wisconsin, and has released her first solo CD "Violet Night" on Maypole Records. The album is a mix of indie pop, rock, lounge, and electronica. The CD was recorded in Minneapolis with Jeremy Ylvisaker (Alpha Consumer, Andrew Bird, Dosh, Eyedea, Fog) and Andrew Thomas (AT/DT, Hockey Night) and features members of Andrew Bird's band, Fog, Happy Apple, Tarlton, and the Fantastic Merlins. She's also a sometimes member of the electronirock band Voltress, and used to be in the band Arena Venus.
Her song "Don't Forget" was featured on Magnet magazine's CD sampler in January 2007.
She and her friends have just released a new CD titled "Welcome To Christmastown" by Courtney Collins & Jeremy Ylvisaker with J.T. Bates and Michael Lewis. Courtney's CD "Violet Night" and other CDs from her previous bands are available at CD Baby and Amazon.com.

College is going great! I love that I only have to go 3 times a week! :D Taking 4 classes and doing well in all of them. What have you been up to? I've been playing my instruments alot during my free time. Finally teaching myself some more guitar. 12 chords isnt enough! Hehe.
