The Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ is world famous for having launched the careers of thousands of musicians.... among those are Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith), Glen Burtnick (STYX), Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith), the Smithereens, Nude Swirl, etc. SUPREME COURT was born of a Thursday night invitation only blues jam which featured the "best of the best". It became the side project that wouldn't die! Thirteen years later the band still thrives.
High profile musicians from across the industry such as Johnny Clyde Copeland, Bobby Radcliff, Mad Dog Vinnie Lopez, Ann Rabson, Sonny Rhodes, The MadDaddies, Surfers From the Future, and of course... Glen, Tony and Lenny have stopped in to play with the band.

It's the Official Last Weekend of Summer and The Cryers are wrapping up their AROTR Trifecta on Aug. 31st Labor Day Sunday at The Woodlands Inn and Resort in Wilkes Barre (Close to Scranton) PA. As with the previous two AROTR's, our Partner in Crime is the incomparable showman, Terry Sylvester formerly of The Hollies.
We will be playing all those great Hollies hits, "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress", "Bus Stop", "Carrie-Anne", "Just One Look" and "He' Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother", with Terry at 4:00 pm in the ballroom.
Then at 9:30 pm at the (r)Evolution Stage, The Cryers will be performing our own captivating, refreshingly honest brand of Rock 'n Roll, with selections from our new CD "Rock and Roll Holiday". PLUS we will be playing our own renditions of classic Beatles and 60’s tunes!
