A group for "Covenites"! People who currently or have previously been involved with or attended the Hobart, Tasmanian Goth Nightclub "The Coven".
The Coven has operated since 2000 providing an alternative dance evening for those who prefer music of the darker side, or even just a change from the homogenous nightclub scene of Hobart.
We're up to venue number 5 since opening our doors in 2000!

In gardening circles they’re saying this season is running at least a week late, and thats our excuse to put on this years best Halloween event on Friday the 6th of November!
Consider all those other celebrations just a warm up for GOTH-O-WEEN. No one does a Halloween theme night as well as the goths! The dead may rise to haunt ‘normal’ clubs only once a year, but we have them over for shots and raucous dancing every single month! Come along and revel with the horrific hellspawn, ravenous beasts and graceful deadlings whilst dancing the night away to the soundtrack of the apocalypse featuring all the Goth, EBM, Industrial, Aggrotech, Metal and Dark Alternative that you can only witness at The Coven.

The decor has been described as "Old Shanghai opium den meets English drawing room and makes wild passionate love. Think Chesterfields, Klimt prints, carved screens and brocade covered walls." There's an extensive cocktail and tapas menu for your enjoyment.
Places are strictly limited, so don't tarry, pick up your ticket quick smart! Entry is $25 and this includes a complimentary cocktail or two basic spirit drinks to begin your evening.
We'd love you to come along to the Longley Tavern this saturday night to see Firebird (from melbourne, with members from Nekromantix and Brian Setzer orch) and ourselves. They've got an awesome outdoor stage, wood fires for keeping warm, great atmosphere and FREE entry. Only fifteen minutes out of town up through South Hobart, will be well worth the trip!
Come along and see this Sydney all girl trio rock the roof off the place, supported by 'Bone Rattlers' in our first show since the falls festival, also UK rockabilly legend J.Iscariot and local surf trio The Swelltones. This will definately be of the shows most worth seeing this year!
