Writing a biography for yourself isn't easy. It's tempting to edit, to embellish, and to elide; shouldn't the music say it all, anyway?
Anyway, the details; I work as a research scientist (chemistry, for what it's worth) at a well-known university, but making music's the thing that keeps me going. I run Hidden Music - check out its profile here. I'm the world's least-convincing Scot, having transplanted myself from Edinburgh to the south of England about seven years ago.
With pretty much everything I do, it feels like I spend my time not so much looking for answers as looking for questions.

Hi! Come see The Scissors this Friday (20 Feb) at Man On The Moon, with London's finest indie-ska combo Popes of Chillitown + Max Rafferty's (ex-Kooks) new band The Third Man. Doors 8pm http://www. wegottickets. com/event/41934
Check it out! I wrote a free book on music production! It's for total beginners, but if you aren't new to music production, maybe you'll still learn something... at least you can send it to your friends who always want to ask you a billion questions about music production! It's totally free too; my goal with this is to accumulate as many BFF's as possible.
You might wonder who I am??? Well I am a Cambridge artist investigating the capabilities of the myspace comments box... I chose u as a friend because u r from Cambridge and I am trying to find everyone from cambridge on my space... where I intend to conduct a cambridge world record attempt in my comments box and attempt to get all my friends to fill my comments box up with the word "Twat" or phases using the word "Twat"....
Twat stats:::
number of twat's mentioned = 177 number of cambridge twaters = 70
I invite u to call me a "twat" and I won't be offended...
The more inventive your twatting, means the oppotunity to get into my top 8 cambridge twaters...a real honour (see my comments box for examples)
You can sign up with eMusic here and download our album pre-release for free. Crikey.
Also, see our myspace page to see the contents of the box set. We're in the process of assembling the boxes and Mr Weatherall is giving himself RSI by signing all 1000.
Since signing the Perspectives album to Nashville Noir I've been working on some acoustic material for the next project and have posted 'Orange moon' as my new fifth track replacing 'Waiting for the call' which is on the album. Let me know what you think
