Covina Chronicles:
Born out of a similar love for music shared by Andrew Wilson and Dustin Lomax, Covina Skyline began in early 2008. It started primarily as an acoustic project, with Andrew playing the acoustic guitar and Dustin singing. The two began writing songs together and performing them at a local coffee shop's open mic every week. From the weekly performances and internet popularity, Covina Skyline was gaining a somewhat sizable fan base.
In September of 2008, Andrew and Dustin decided that a full band would better capture the emotional drive that their songs were intended to have. Dustin bought an electric bass guitar and Andrew recruited long time friend, Wilson Winburne, to play drums in the band. After this addition, Covina Skyline began practicing more frequently. They used the following months to build up an arsenal of songs. They played their first legendary show in Huntersville, North Carolina on May 24th, 2009.
The band remained primarily with this line-up until July, 2009, when it was decided that Kevin Earl McClary would join the group as the lead guitarist. As of now, Covina Skyline is ready to change the world. They are set to release a full length album in mid-September, entitled "We're Soaked", that has been rumored to be unlike anything anyone has ever heard before. After the release they will began relentlessly playing shows in and around the local area. Get Ready.
