About me:
Cowley Road Carnival is coming! One of the most flamboyant and high energy events ever to be experienced on the Cowley Road, preparations for Carnival 2008 are full steam ahead. Workshops, rehearsals and Carnival events are taking place all over the county as we get ready for a celebration! Carnival is all about having fun. It is an inclusive celebration of the diversity of the East Oxford Community, and offers a host of entertainment for all the family from all areas of our community and beyond. Cowley Rd will be Traffic Free for the day! There will be a five live music stages and soundsystems with music of all genres, including World, Urban, Rock, young bands, Folk, acoustic and more, plus music workshops, kids workshops, magicians, face painting, story telling, spoken word, circus performers, community groups, dance and street theatre, plus mouth watering food stalls from the wide variety of restaurants and cafes offering cuisine from all over the world.

Carnival needs you! We are looking for volunteers to help out on the day of Carnival!
If you would like to get involved in any capacity please call Ian at the EOA office or email us!
In return, not only will you be part of this wonderful community event, you could receive treats donated by local organisations such as free tickets, free meals out, and other such enticing rewards!
