This Myspace profile is dedicated to the memory of Corporal Dale A. Burger Jr. Dale was killed in action on November 14th, 2004, during combat operations while his unit was involved in the assualt on Fulluja in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq. He is the recipient of the Silver Star which he received posthumously for his heroic actions while involved in house to house fighting and eventually losing his life only after saving three of his fellow Marines who were wounded and pinned down and under enemy fire. Dale was also given the honor of having a building on Aberdeen Proving Grounds named after him (The Burger Building). Dale's Father (Dale a. Burger Sr.) passed away only a few months before him. Dale Sr. was also a decorated combat wounded Marine who served in Vietnam. they are both buried in Arlington national Cemetary only a few short feet from each other. Dale was a true American hero... May his memory live on forever.
