Barkada in Tagalog means "a group of friends." We are a group of friends whose aim is to promote the recognition and understanding of the Pilipino culture at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and our surrounding community.
Barkada Info Video by Charmane Espero
Barkada is the soul that unifies body and mind
you can feel it inside yourself it's one of a kind
make sure you keep it close and never leave it behind
for the answers 'bout culture and history here you will find
Then you'll find yourself with great people and friends
And maybe find the one who'll stick with you till the end
Just open your heart cuz I know love we will send
And our passion for you will never falter or bend
We are Barkada, united we are strong
We are Barkada, one family, one song
We are Barkada, we yell it out with great pride
We are Barkada...it's one hell of a ride
